I have always felt a connection with fruits and vegetables. Growing up and still to this day, my dad has always had fruit trees and a huge garden. We were raised on organic vegetables, so it comes as no surprise that I am drawn to the beauty, the taste, and the idea of eating organic and whole foods.
So why is it so dang hard to eat healthy all the time?
Before I was a mother, I had made some good choices. No soda since I was 20something, switched from cow's milk to almond milk, and now if I can just stay away from refined sugars and gluten! Now that we have Cody, I try harder to eat healthier. Less processed foods, more organic meat. And the cool thing is that he LOVES fresh fruit and vegetables!
Last year I developed an autoimmune disorder and as of late, am trying to eliminate certain foods from my diet so I can manage my flare ups. This week I was going to eliminate eggs. I did good for a day, so as you can see, it's not going that great. I paid for it dearly last night. But today is a new day! Started off with these beautiful strawberries.
